The classing drop shot setting will do just fine. Use a size 1-2 and a decent size weight to make sure that the soft bait reaches the bottom of the water fast. The size of the weight can be decided on the spot but it will depend on a number of factors like the water speed, the water depth, the weather conditions and others,

1. Stick the hook through the head of the soft bait and make sure that there is not a lot of movement around the hook.
2. Drop the full setting into the water and allow it to pull as much fishing line as it needs to reach the bottom of the water. When there is no more pressure on the line you will know that the weight has hit the bottom of the water.
3. Lift up the top of your rod in small shocks, up and down, making sure to lift up the soft bait about 20-30 cm from the bottom of the water. It has to look like the soft bait tries is moving up and down. Then the predator will attack
4. If the results fail to appear after about 20-30 minutes of fishing a particular area, move somewhere else or change the colour of the soft bait. In some cases X colour can provide no results while Y colour can catch a fish.
